I have worked with pigs as a relief, outdoors mainly. Thus having a little knowledge. This course is refreshing some aspects of my experience. I am certainly learning a lot more. May it continue

This is a training web portal operated on behalf of the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) by VBMS Ltd.

Please read these web portal terms and conditions of use carefully before using this site as they are a legally binding agreement between you and AHDB.

WHAT IS IN THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS?

These terms and conditions tell you the rules for using our UK Pig Industry Welfare Training web portal:  https://ahdbpork.vbms.co.uk (referred to as the ‘Site’) and receiving any training services through the Site including the issue of any digital certificate by AHDB (‘Services’). Throughout this document we refer to the terms and conditions as the ‘Terms’.

A reference to ‘you’ or ‘your’ is a reference to the user of this Site.

We provide this Site and Service to you free of charge but reserve the right to charge you for continued access to the Site and Service at any time. We will notify you in advance if there are any charges associated with continued access to the Site and Service.

1. WHO WE ARE AND HOW TO CONTACT US

1.1   We are the Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB), we are a non-departmental public body and our address is Stoneleigh Park, Kenilworth, Warwickshire CV8 2TL.  We are the providers of the Site.

2. BY USING THIS SITE OR SERVICE YOU ACCEPT THESE TERMS

2.2   These Terms set out all of the rules and obligations that apply to your use of the Site and receipt of any Services.

2.2   By registering on the Site or using the Site, you confirm that: (i) you accept these Terms and that you agree to comply with them; and (2) you are at least 18 years of age or over.  If you do not agree to these Terms or you are under the age of 18, you must not use our Site or Services.  These Terms are a legally binding agreement between you and AHDB.

5. WE MAY MAKE CHANGES TO OUR SITE

5.1   We may from time to time change the content of this Site, the nature of the Services or suspend or discontinue any aspect of this Site or Service, which may include your access to it.  You agree to any such changes and agree that these Terms will apply to all such changes made to the Site and your use of it and the Services.

6.REGISTERING AN ACCOUNT

6.1   To access the Site and receive the Services you will be required to create a user account (including creating a login name and password). If you do not complete the registration process, you will not be able to access the Site or Service.

6.2   You warrant to us that the information you provide during the registration process or otherwise is complete and accurate to the best of your knowledge. You will promptly inform us of any changes to your information.

6.3   You shall not share your login details with anyone else. You are responsible for the use or misuse of your login details and for maintaining the confidentiality of such log in details. You must promptly notify us of any actual or suspected confidentiality breach or unauthorized use of your login details or account.

7.1   You accept that you are solely responsible for ensuring that your computer meets all relevant technical specification necessary to use this Site and receive the Services and that your computer is compatible with this Site.

8.4   You may not commercially exploit the content.  Nor may you transmit it or store it in any other website or other form of electronic retrieval system.

9. WARRANTY

9.1   Whilst we endeavour to ensure that any material available for downloading from this Site or provided as part of the Services is not contaminated in any way, we do not warrant that such material will be free from infection, viruses and/or similar code.

14. OUR RESPONSIBILITY FOR LOSS OR DAMAGE SUFFERED BY YOU – DISCLAIMER

14.1   Whether you are an individual consumer or a business user we do not exclude or limit in any way our liability to you where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence or the negligence of our employees, agents or subcontractors and for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

14.2   Subject to clause 13.1, while we make all reasonable efforts to keep the Site up and running smoothly, we will not be liable for any failures due to software or internet errors or unavailability, technical issues or any other circumstances beyond our control.

16. NO WAIVER OF OUR RIGHTS

16.1    If we do not enforce any provision of the Terms, that will not constitute or be construed as a waiver of such a provision or our right to enforce it.
